Just This side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...          Dedicated to Rhett and Scarlett: They with me over seven wonderful years. They were more than pets, they touched my heart. My dear "keets" will be missed more than they could know. We love you! Dear Nicolo has crossed the bridge He has been with us just over two years. He will be missed dearly. What's up Nut Butt! I AM NOT THERE Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die. Author unknown I am attaching a picture of Tori. Tori Wanamaker (7/17/97-11/9/99) passed away suddenly and left this world way too early. He was our first bird. He was a pro at pestering cockatiels and at dancing (he would hold a bell from his olympic ring toy, shake it side to side while whistling and talking. He was excellent at preening his cage mate, Drew, who now has an itchy head because he won't let us scratch it for him---only Tori. him---only Tori. We love him and will miss him always...until we meet again in The Rainbow Bridge. =) Sharon =) If you have a rainbow bridge page, please accept this award in Scarlett's honor. If you chose to accept the award, email me with your URL so that I can enjoy your page. Please link the award back to www.keets.com so that others may receive Scarlett's award. I want to congratulate everyone that has won this award in the past. We have decided to retire this award because of the passing of Scarlett.
